Jason Edwards brings more than two decades of law-enforcement expertise to his leadership role as Founder and President of Second City Security Group. A Chicago Police Officer for 20 years, Jason has served in some of the most demanding and specialized units within the department. His early career included extensive work in undercover narcotics and gang investigations, collaborating on federal task forces alongside the FBI, ATF, HSI, and DEA.

In 2020, Jason was promoted to Homicide Detective, where he investigated some of the city’s most complex and high-profile violent crimes. His exemplary performance and leadership earned him a promotion to Sergeant in 2022. Following his promotion, he was assigned to Chicago’s 011th District on the West Side, where he supervised a tactical team focused on crime reduction and proactive policing.

In the summer of 2023, Jason returned to the Detective Division as a Sergeant in the Homicide Unit, continuing his commitment to justice, investigative excellence, and community safety.

Today, Jason leverages his extensive field experience, investigative background, and proven leadership to guide Second City Security Group—ensuring every client receives the highest standard of professional protection, discretion, and expertise.
